生猛的香港話

買了一本很精彩的書「廣東話俗語字典」"A Dictionary of Cantonese Slang - The Language of Hong Kong Movies, Street Gang and City Life". 談港式俗語的書不少,很多(如吳昊)偏重於歷史源流,有些(像邵家臻)流於散文式的輕鬆.這是一本正正經經的英文字典啊!且看這一條:

tuhng ji gwan tiu daahn chohng -> sih gau daahn daahn 童子軍跳彈床->事九但但[scout jumping on the trampoline -> scout jumping] to take it easy; equivalent to "whatever you like!" (a humourous "sandwich pun", in which the Hong Kong pronunciation of the English word "scout", sih gau 事九, is substituted for the Chinese term in the phrase "a scout jumping on on trampoline", giving sih gau daahn 事九但, "whatever you fucking like", an obscene variant of sih daahn 事但, "whatever".

Yat Gwok Leuhng Jai 一國兩制 [one country two systems] a massage parlour which offers both sexual services and ordinary massage. 笑死我.

我知道以後當我對這個城市心灰意懶時,有甚麼可逗我開心了.
